YU Yureka S smartphone with 3GB RAM listed for Rs12999

Micromax launched an online-only subsidiary called YU in 2014, in order to take on the likes of Xiaomi and Motorola. Its first smartphone was the Yureka, and since then the company has launched a host of devices, with the most recent being the Yunicorn. But the company has moved beyond its online-only model and its smartphones are now available offline as well. In fact, the company recently stated that it expects about 50 percent of its sales to happen via offline channels. Now, YU has quietly unveiled a new smartphone in India, called Yureka S. As the name suggests, this is basically a newer version of YU’s first smartphone with a slightly better set of features and specifications. The YU Yureka S is currently listed on the company’s website with a price tag of Rs 12,999, and it will be available in black color. There is, however, no word when or where the new smartphone is set to go on sale.U has listed a new handset the Yureka S on their official website with a price tag of Rs. 12,999. The YU Yureka S is a snapdragon 615 powered hybrid dual SIM handset packed with 3GB RAM.  This smartphone sports a 5.2 inch FHD screen.

FEATURES and SPECIFICATIONS

The Yureka S flaunts a 5.2-inch full HD (1920×1080 pixels) display with 423ppi and Corning’s Gorilla Glass 3 protection. Under the hood is Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 615 64-bit octa-core processor paired with Adreno 405 GPU and 3GB of RAM. It comes with 16GB of internal storage, which can be expanded using a microSD card. On the photography front, the Yureka S is equipped with a 13-megapixel snapper with OV13850 PureCel Camera Chip, f/2.2 aperture and support for HDR. Up front is a 5-megapixel selfie snapper with f/2.2 aperture and 84 degrees wide-angle lens.Additional features are Yamaha amplifier, noise cancellation MIC, Wolfson Pure sound, 4G LTE, 3G, 2G, GPS, WiFi and Bluetooth.  There is a 3000 mAh battery that as per the company gives up to 9 hours of talk time and supports quick charge 1.0.It is a bit strange to see YU go along with the Snapdragon 615 SoC, which is not only old but doesn’t have the best thermal performance either. In addition to the all-metal unibody design, the Redmi Note 3 boasts a fingerprint scanner at the back. It also features a Qualcomm Snapdragon 650 hexa-core processor, 32GB internal storage, 16-megapixel rear snapper with f/2.0 aperture and PDAF support, and a bigger 4,000mAh battery. The smartphone is priced at Rs 11,999.
The LeEco Le 2 also features a combination of metal body and a fingerprint scanner at the back. It comes with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 652 octa-core processor, 32GB internal storage (no microSD card slot though), 13-megapixel snapper with PDAF support, and an 8-megapixel selfie camera. The smartphone is also priced at Rs 11,999.
Lenovo’s ZUK Z1 maybe a bit more expensive with a price tag of Rs 13,499, but it also offers more value for money. It too boasts a metal body with a fingerprints scanner embedded into physical home button up front. It also comes with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 801 processor, a 4,100mAh battery, and a 13-megapixel primary camera with support for optical image stabilization (OIS).

I personally donot feel that it will give any competiton to redmi note 3 and le 2.

Why YU always  launched these. YU doesnot see what the competiton is. Its only aims is to launch these phones.
